seaPro 3D Pilot

The 3D pilot takes the data from your vector charts and creates a 3D view, showing depth and land contours, complete with objects such as buoys, trees and buildings (Note 1).

It will also show real-time tidal levels, the view from your vessel and the estimated positions for the sun and moon.3D can only work with vector charts (raster charts do not have the information), so if you are using Livecharts or S57 charts, then these can be used.

The 3D view can be displayed at the same time as the 2D view to have a complete picture of where you are and what is around you.

To use the 3D option, you must have adequate hardware including a 3D graphics card and the latest graphic card drivers for your system.

Key features
  • Shows Livecharts and S57 in both 3D and 2D (normal chart mode)
  • 3D image ahead of vessel
  • 3D land and depth contours
  • Real-time tide levels (for available ports)
  • Real-time sun and moon positions
  • 3D buoys
  • Real-time flashing lights
  • Overlay waypoints, route, and radar targets
  • Log and route displayed - with ARPA targets are plotted
You can also show your 3D view at the same time as the 2D no need to choose between one or the other.

In addition to information taken from detailed vectored charts, seaPro 3D Pilot can show real-time sun and moon positions, tidal levels and even sea surface and sky effects (this helps reproduce environmental effects such as different shadows at dawn, daylight, dusk or evening)

Note: 3D works with Livecharts and ENC (S57) charts. The level of detail shown depends on the chart being displayed.
Raster charts

  • Easily fly through the terrain, some charts even include land heights and contours , or a world wide database of terrain data is available that is merged with any land data on your charts
  • Set environmental effects such as time of day and cloud cover, fog
  • No-fly through mode - for slower graphics cards
  • Choice of own 3D vessel - power or sailing
  • Status bar showing terrain/depth of position
  • Single press to view from helm or follow vessel
  • Color hi light different depth levels
  • Optional Tidal data (heights) and Terrain database
Important To use the 3D option, you must have adequate hardware including a 3D graphics card and the latest graphic card drivers for your system.

Note: The type and quantity of 3D objects displayed depends on the detailing on the original 2D chart. Older charts will have less detail and might not give the best results.
