The Hammerhead Centrino, Walkabout's seventh generation rugged Tablet PC, is a value-class Windows-based mobile computer designed for customers who require protection from the daily rigors of field use and harsh environmental conditions.  Featuring a durable magnesium housing, IP64 rating and 3.9lb weight, the Hammerhead Centrino is the most rugged, reliable, and lightweight Tablet PC in its class.  With legacy dock compatibility and hot-swappable batteries, customers are assured of seamless operations and improved productivity.

The Hammerhead Centrino includes 1.1GHHz Mobile Intel® Processor-M with enhanced Intel® Speedstep® Technology, integrated Ethernet, internal radio options including GPS, CDMA and GPRS, as well as a moulded shock absorbing Walkabout carry case.

As with the Extreme a Type III PCMCIA slot that accommodates up to two Type II PC or Cardbus cards and sealed doors that maintain the units' IP64 rating.  Pen tablet and touchscreen versions of the Hammerhead line are available with a 10.4" SVGA All-Vis display, which provides superior viewing in both indoor and outdoor lighting conditions.
